This 8 day/7 night tour to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is designed to be easily affordable for four or more VVAC members, to begin and end in Cancun which allows the best air option at the cheapest prevailing fare and to provide a simple “all inclusive” guaranteed maximum price.

Included in the tour are visits to and tours of - Valladolid, Ek Balam, Hacienda Selva Maya, Cenote Saamal, Chichén-Itzá, Mayan Village of Yaxchuna, Uxmal Light and Sound Show, Uxmal, Kabah, Calakmul, Ichkabal (Costa Maya’s most recently excavated Mayan ruin), Bacalar Lagoon, Tulum and the typical Caribbean fishing village of Puerto Morelos - as well as two formal lectures – An Introduction to the Maya and the Yucatan Maya War of the /strong>
For those of you new to Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula it is blanketed with lush jungles, studded with beguiling cenotes and towering Maya temples and edged by sparkling Caribbean seas. The tour will explore these diverse wonders on an adventure from the Maya ruins and inland colonial towns to the beautiful Caribbean Coast. With a free “pre-transfer” morning at the lovely seaside town of Puerto Morelos you and either just laze around the village or take some optional tours – snorkeling, bird watching, fishing, shopping, beach walks, etc. - that you might choose.
The activity level for this to is light/moderate. While there is no sustained hiking on this trip, the group will be walking for 2–4 hours on most days across uneven terrain.
